Every beat and instrumental sold through Done Deal Digital is licensed, not sold. When you buy a license, you get the right to use the track within the limits set by the tier you purchase. Below is the full rundown of what each license includes, what the limits are, and what you're not allowed to do without an exclusive.

All licenses are non-transferable unless explicitly stated. Done Deal Digital LLC retains ownership of the master recording and 50% of the publishing rights on non-exclusive licenses. Production credit is required on every release.

Included With Every License

• Untagged audio file in the format(s) your tier specifies, delivered instantly after payment clears.
• Right to record, release, and monetize a song using the beat within the usage limits of your tier.
• For-profit live performance rights across all tiers — perform the song at paid shows.
• A copy of the license agreement, sent to your email, that you can show distributors and platforms if asked.

What's Not Included

• Sample clearance. If a beat uses an interpolated or sampled element, clearance for major commercial release (e.g., on a major-label album) is the buyer's responsibility unless we've agreed otherwise in writing.
• Resale, sub-licensing, or transfer of the beat to a third party. The license is for you (the buyer) and the project named at checkout.
• Use in AI training datasets, NFTs, or sync placements (film, TV, ads, video games) without a separate written agreement.
• Removal of producer credit from the released track or release metadata.

Publishing & Royalties

On all non-exclusive licenses, Done Deal Digital retains 50% of the publishing rights and is registered as a co-writer of the composition. The buyer is the other 50% co-writer. PRO registration (ASCAP, BMI, SESAC) should reflect this split.

On exclusive licenses, the master recording transfers to the buyer; Done Deal Digital still retains 50% of the publishing rights and the production credit unless a separate buyout is negotiated in writing.

Refunds

All digital downloads are final once the file has been delivered or download access has been issued. We don't issue refunds for completed digital deliveries except where required by law. If there's a technical issue with your download (corrupted file, wrong tier delivered), contact us within 7 days and we'll fix it.

Exclusivity Lock

When a beat is purchased exclusively, it is immediately removed from the Done Deal Digital BeatStars store and is no longer licensed to anyone else going forward. Any non-exclusive licenses sold before the exclusive purchase remain valid for those buyers — but no new non-exclusive licenses will be issued for that beat after exclusivity is sold.
